Birthday Celebrations @ Melbourne Upasana Kendra

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday morning of the 24th of March 2013. There was excitement in the air as we were getting ready to celebrate P.P. Suchit Dada and Poojya Samir Dada’s birthday at our Melbourne Upasana Kendra.

When we reached the Upasana Kendra, we realised that no one was immune to the cheer of the day!! Attending our beloved Bapu’s Upasana is always something that we look forward to every weekend. However, on that day, there was palpable enthusiasm in all of us.

We started off with our regular Upsana. But today, P.P. Dada, being as loving as He is, decided to give us a gift on the occasion of His birthday!! The Chandikakul Samvad CD had reached our Kendra and we were all set to have our first ever conversation with the divine Chandikakul!!

It is impossible to describe what we experienced during those 5 minutes. When Bapu told us that the Chandikakul would be sitting right in front of us to listen to what we have to say, all of us were very intrigued as to how it will feel. And in those 5 minutes, the proximity to Mothi Aai and her divine family was undoubted. When we opened our eyes after the Samvad, there were tears rolling down all of our eyes. It was probably one of the most intense experiences ever and we are truly Ambadnya that our loving Bapu, Aai and Dada thought us worthy of having this Samvad (conversation).

Now it was time to cut the Birthday cake. Our little Shraddhavans, Riyaveera and Neevsinh volunteered to cut the cake on behalf of P.P. Suchitdada and Poojya Samirdada. This was followed by a small tea and cake break (yummm)!!!

After that, we saw the video CD of P.P. Bapu’s Pravachan in which he addressed all of us to be fearless and recounted the greatness of our all-pervasive Gurukshetram Mantra.

The day and all the excitement should have tired us. However, we felt recharged and re energised instead. An impromptu session of Gunasankirtan followed which made us forget our lunch as well. It was well after 3pm when we realised that we hadn’t even had lunch!! Such is the greatness of the Parmatma trayi’s Gunasankirtan.

On that note, we concluded the joyous celebration of our beloved Dadas’ birthday. We are indeed Ambadnya to have experienced this day in its full glory!!!

Tere Charnon mein hi hai hamare sab sukh.

We bhakts(devotees) are a greedy lot. Birthdays are meant of presents for the one whose birthday it is, but we keep asking our Sadguru for more and more for ourselves on such occasions.

Dearest Dada, on the wonderful occasion of your birthday, we have with great hope and excitement started up the Brisbane Upasana Kendra. Forever be our guide and help us follow the right path and achieve greater devotion and dedication through the activities that you inspire in our kendra. We wish you a very very Happy Birthday.

Those are the only emotions running high in our hearts and minds on this auspicious day of our dearest Dada's birthday. It is only Bapu's immense, love, grace and unconditional efforts for our betterment, that have led to the joyous occasion of the opening of the Brisbane Upasna Kendra today, the 24th of March 2013. Marked by the beautiful occasion of Dada's birthday, it has been double the joy.

It is amazing how soon the entire thing materialised from being an idea to becoming a reality. Less than a week. And what joy it has brought to us all. Though we have begun small, we are high on enthusiasm and excitement. We had our first Upasana as a kendra today, and also the first celebration of the Kendra, as we  celebrated Dada's birthday.


The upasana itself was a beautiful experience.

The completion of the upasana, which was conducted in English, was followed by Dada's Aarti, and cutting a cake specially made for the occasion of His birthday. It was celebrations galore.

The Brisbane Upasana Kendra is now officially open, and welcomes all Bapu bhakts to join us whenever they are come to Brisbane. I leave you with a photo from today, that encompasses all that we did today. Ambadnya Aai, Bapu and Dada, for helping us, to start up this kendra.

परम पूज्य श्री अनिरुद्ध बापूंचे सिडनी येथे जोरदार स्वागत झाले. अत्यंत प्रसन्न आणि उल्हासित वातावरणा मध्ये उपासना झाली. त्या दिवशी प्रथमच स्वस्तिक्षेम संवादाची CD लावण्यात आली होती. सर्व बापू भक्तांनी चंडिका कुलाशी मनसोक्त संवाद साधला. बापूंचे बोल ऐकताना अंगावर शाहारे उमटत होते. खरच किती त्या सदगुरूंचे आमच्या वर प्रेम आहे. काय काय आणि किती किती गोष्टी तो आपल्यासाठी अविरत पणे करीतच राहतो.
                                      "जैसे चिडीच्या पायात दोर
                                             बांधुनी आणिती तिजला समोर
                                      तैसेच ओढले मज तू खरोखर
                                               तुला काळजी माझी हे मी उमगलो....."
खरच त्यालाच काळजी आहे माझी आणि म्हणूनच तो इतक्या दूर फक्त आमच्या साठी आला. संपूर्ण चंडिका कुलासकट आलाय. इतक्या दूर असूनही बापूंचे बोल ऐकायला मिळत आहेत, स्वस्तिक्षेम संवाद मिळत आहे, खरच अजून काय हवे आहे. स्वप्नात पण वाटले नव्हते , बापूंचे दर्शन सिडनीला पण मिळेल, प्रवचनाचा आनंद घेत येईल, स्वस्तिक्षेम संवाद तर लांबचीच गोष्ट वाटत होती. ... पण त्याच्या अकारण कारुण्या मुळे हे शक्य झालं. "मी तुला कघीच टाकणार नाही", हे त्याचे वाक्य त्याने खर केलं.
                                      "मी अम्बज्ञ आहे. मला कायम अम्बज्ञ च राहायचे आहे. "

Australia Parivaar - Bapu's Grace and Reach Down Under

In the Sai Satcharit, its said,

 Jis jis path pe bhakt Sai ka, 
Vahin khada hai Sai.


And the very same holds true for our beloved Bapu. Even though Australia lies thousands of kilometres from Mumbai, Bapu's love and grace for His children in Australia shines bright and clear every moment.

This post is to share with everyone, some facts about the journey of the Bapu Parivaar in Australia, leading upto its current state.

In Australia we have three active Upasana Kendras, two in the East Coast, namely Sydney and Melbourne and one in the West Coast in Perth. The location and contact details of all three are alphabetically listed on the upper right hand corner of this blog. The Sydney and Melbourne Kendras were declared as official kendras by Bapu in the adhiveshan of 2012. It was a moment of great joy and pride for the entire Aniruddha Australia parivaar.

In 1992 Dineshsinh Nagwekar came to the Australian shores, and his wife, Nilambariveera Nagwekar arrived three years later in 1995. In 1997 they were brought into Bapu's fold, and thus they are the oldest residing Bapu bhakts in Australia. They live in Sydney, and it is in their residence that the Sydney Upasana Kendra currently operates. With a strength of 15-17 families, it is the largest Upasana centre in Australia currently. It was started in the year 2004 by Ashishsinh Rane. The weekly upasana is conducted with great fervour every Saturday here. Ram Navami, Guru Pournima, Aniruddha Pournima and Shree Mangal Chandika Prapatti are some of the utsavs celebrated by the members each year, besides Paduka Pujans at the residences of various bhakts at different times.

The Melbourne Upasana Kendra operated from the residence of Naveensinh and Ranjanaveera Nayak. Before moving to Australia in 2006, they visited Samirdada, seeking the Melbourne Kendra details. Samirdada told them, there wasn't one in Melbourne then, and  suggested they set up the kendra in Melbourne. Feeling blessed at being given the opportunity, following Samirdada's guidance, the Nayaks started the kendra on the auspicious day of Datta Jayanti on 4th Dec 2006. Though it began with just Naveensinh and Ranjanaveera, there are 11 shraddhavans in Melbourne today. Melbourne officially received Bapu's Padukas in february 2011. Initially the upasana was done in Marathi, every Saturday evening, following the guidance of Samirdada, the English Upasana began in march 2012, which is followed by intense gajar and watching CDs of Bapu's pravachans,every Saturday at 5pm . The New Year Jap, Mangal Chandika prapatti, Dada's birthday, Shubhankara Navratra, Ram Navami, Guru Pournima, Ashubhnashini Navratra, Paduka Punarmilap, Aniruddha Pournima, Sachhidanand Paduka Pujan and Datta Jayanti are celebrated with gusto each year.

The Perth Upasana Kendra which started up in 2011, had been working as a group in 2006. It currently hosts 8 shraddhavans loacted in Perth. There are more details of this Kendra which has been posted earlier on this blog by Shahsisinh and Kavitaveera Chakor. The Perth Kendra is still in its nascent stages, but is gaining momentum and strength with each passing day by Bapu's grace. They celebrate the annual events like Paduka Pujans, Mangal Chandika Praptti, Aniruddha Pournima and more.

Bapu's unconditional love and grace has indeed inspired all the shraddhavans in Perth in making this Saturday Upasna done

on a regular basis every Saturday (7:00pm). Bapu has won the hearts of so many people and influenced them in proper

direction and I was fortunate to be one of them. When I came here in Perth in May 2004, I was disappointed to not find any Bapu

followers here and also missed my Bapu and his discoureses (which happened every Thursday). The moment when Bapu put his

hands up to bless all his children after the Saibaba's Aarti was over (every Thursday) was the most happiest moment of my

life. I could feel the nectar of his loving and kind glimpse on all his children and I was just living in that moment. I

had taken all the photos and books along with me and also felt his presence in my he heart but something was still missing.

When I travelled back to India I gave my contact details to some of the Shraddhavans in-charge of helping devotees who

stayed far away and came in contact with Ashishsinh Rane from Sydney. He used to co-ordinate for all the daily

activities/happenings about 'Aniruddha Upasna Trust'. We continued doing Upasna regularly and also telling people about the

Bapu and activities/projects/goals of 'Aniruddha Upasna Trust'. We were fortunate enough to talk with Poojya Samir Dada and

he gave a good guidance on what exactly we need to be doing to help others to experience this. Our happiness knew no bounds. My firm belief is that you will definitely get rewarded by

your Sadguru if your Bhakti/Devotion towards your Sadguru is pure and true. Let us all cherish this nectar which is sweet

indeed due to the divine presence of P.P. Bapu, our beloved Nandai and loving Suchit Dada in our lives!!!!

Matruvatsalyavindanam Parayan

The Shraddhavans in Australia, just completed a saamuhik Parayan of the Matruvatsalyavindanam on 13th March 2013. This Shodashkala Parayan of the Matruvatsalyavindanam began on Tuesday, 26th os February.  This is the first time the entire Bapu Parivar down under came together for a parayan, it was an amazing 15 days as the granth was read across this huge island nation. We are all Ambadnya!
